"Both of my sons played for the Grove City Midget Football league. I also volunteered as a coach. The focus is on fundamentals and above all, safety. All coaches are USA Football heads up certified. The league is competitive and is comprised of most of the competition that Grove City High School plays in PIAA District 10. It's a great league for young kinds to prepare for the next level."

Participating within the GCMFC organization has made a significant impact on both of my sons. The program teaches football fundamentals & playbook schemes/terminology a manner consistent with Grove City’s MS & HS program.
It also can’t be understated how much of an impact generating friendships & rivalries with the kids that they will compete with throughout their HS football careers benefits them. These are the same kids that they will compete against in basketball, baseball, wrestling ,track & football throughout high school.
The league’s strict adherence to teaching & being certified in USA Heads Up football techniques builds a strong set of safe fundamentals based on the latest concussion research that can be built upon for years to come. This combined with the new benefits from the Athlete intelligence system installed in Riddell Speed-flex helmets make the tough sport of football as safe as possible for the kids.
The last piece of the program to highlight is that they focus their funds on the right things. The use of Riddell Speedflex helmets at the Midget Level is significant. I would not let my children compete at a Midget or HS level without the fit, adjustment capability & safety that this helmet brings. These helmets are a significant investment in the youth of the community, and they are same helmet that 75% of NFL players use.
